Numbers (often referred to as Bulls and Cows) is a classic puzzle game that emerged in England during the mid-twentieth century. The rules are straightforward yet demand both logical reasoning and patience from the players.

The game begins with the automatic generation of a four-digit number in which all digits are unique. As players make their guesses, they receive feedback in the form of an (n)A(m)B response. Here, 'A' indicates the number of digits that are both correct in value and position, while 'B' represents the digits that are correct in value but not in position.

For instance, if the secret number is 5234 and a player guesses 5346, the response would be 1A2B. This indicates that '5' is correctly positioned (1A), while '3' and '4' are present in the secret number but not in their correct positions (2B). Players continue to deduce the correct number based on this feedback until they arrive at a successful guess of 4A0B.

This game provides a stimulating challenge for those who enjoy testing their deduction skills.
